Bermuda Tourism Sticker

Pink. Sand. Beaches. Where else can you find that, except for Bermuda?

The Bermuda Tourism Facebook page aims to be a “fun, engaging and informative community” for fans of the tropical island paradise. It’s packed with cool facts and tittlating tidbits of island history. For example, did you know that Mark Twain (a.k.a.: Samuel Langhorne Clemens) first visited Bermuda in 1877, just a year or so after The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, was published? Don’t fret if you didn’t … neither did I!

Bermuda is located in an astoundingly beautiful stretch of the Atlantic, a mere 650 miles east of North Carolina. Flights from New York and other eastern US cities reach our shores in approximately two hours. Featuring pink sand beaches, stunning turquoise waters, world-class golf courses, luxury accommodations, breathtaking views and a vibrant culture, Bermuda is the perfect escape to the other side of the world—right around the corner.

As I tap out these words, I think of what life would be like if there was pink sand between my toes right now, rather than the soft white sand that’s found at the Jersey Shore. Legend has it that the two are not that far off …
